How it works

Generosity in. Stewardship in the middle. Funded programs out.

We keep the path from your donation to a child's bedroom short, transparent, and local.

  1. You give

Donate quality kids' goods or funds through a transparent local channel.

  2. We steward

Every item is inspected, cleaned, and resold affordably through Collective Kids Closet.

  3. Programs get funded

Proceeds become grants to local programs serving kids in foster care, kinship homes, and crisis.

The model

Volunteer Service

A structured way to give time alongside goods and funds.

Where your money goes

Every gift compounds

During launch, your donation does double duty — it stocks the shelves and seeds the fund that supports our partner programs.

  1. Goods are inspected. Donated items are cleaned, safety-checked, and priced affordably.
  2. Sales fund the mission. Collective Kids Closet resale proceeds cover operations and create grant funding.
  3. Partner programs receive grants. Local 501(c)(3) programs serving kids in care put those funds directly to work.

A detailed “where your money goes” breakdown will be published here once our first full cycle of data is available.
